We had visited Warsaw in Poland in 2007, but I felt cheated by the wet weather and road works.
Nothing has changed – we still had wet weather and there were plenty of roadworks. We saw Krakow, with a visit to Auschwitzz and Birkenau, Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River, Warsaw and the holiday town of Augustow.
We returned to visit Gdansk and Gdynia, stopping first at Hitler’s headquarters at the Wolf’s Lair. With our nose headed west, we stopped for lunch at Toruń and overnight at Posnań.
Seventy-five days touring north eastern Europe simply wasn’t enough.
